The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all world-wide. The 17 Goals address the global challenges we face, such as poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, gender equality, peace and justice. The Goals interconnect and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve each Goal and target by 2030. The State of Qatar is committed to sustainable development and the achievement of the 2030 Agenda. It is of great importance to highlight that Qatar’s long-term development outcomes, as articulated in the Qatar National Vision 2030, are built on the principles of sustainable development.

The Agenda for Humanity is a five-point plan that outlines the changes that are needed to alleviate suffering, reduce risk and lessen vulnerability on a global scale. In the Agenda, humanity—people’s safety, dignity and the right to thrive— is placed at the heart of global decision-making in the humanitarian response. Qatar’s efforts in relief and humanitarian work have increased dramatically over the past decade. Qatar’s commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to in the region but also to those in need globally is a testament to the country’s commitment to reducing the suffering of 134.1million people worldwide and to the Agenda for Humanity.
